Throwback Thursday {House Edition}

As a little fun way to show the progress of our home, I want to dedicate a short and simple post each Thursday for looking back at one room in our house and remembering what is what like when we bought it compared to what it looks like now.

Since our bedroom is really the only room that had photographed (with an iPhone...if only I could find our sweet camera!), I'll start with that one.

Here's the before:

And here's what it looks like now:

What's been done:

• carpets ripped out
• staples and tacks removed
• floors washed and cleaned
• new paint (BM Revere Pewter color matched with Valspar paints)
• took down the hand rail
• put down a new rug I found on clearance at Target (It's huge, but it's an indoor/outdoor rug, so it's a little rough on the feet. But I think I got a lot of bang for the buck!)

There are lots of things we need to do to make it more homey (such as curtains, stuff on the walls, maybe a dresser...etc). But for now, we are just happy that it feels warm, clean, and it's not covered in clothes!
