Kitchen Inspiration
Well, we made it to the Dallas area and will be here for just a few days to catch up with family and friends :)
I'm glad to be out of the car and take a breather from staring at cars, trees, and roads all day!
In just a few days, we'll get the keys to our new place and finally get to move in and get settled.
I'm excited! We are moving into a little home built in 1950 with just a bit over 1,000 square feet. I should have taken photos when we toured the little place, but I didn't. I'll definitely shoot some photos before we move in!
One of my favorite things about our new little place is the 1950's galley kitchen--complete with light green tile and a faucet that comes out from the wall.
We'll need some extra workspace so Josh is planning on building us a table/island/extra-counter space. I'll keep you in the loop :)
I think that I want to keep it earthy in the kitchen--warm, neutral, and welcoming! That's the plan right now, anyway :)
Here's my inspiration:
-- I love this rustic jewelry holder from Beauty Riot--wouldn't it make a cute apron hook?
-- The Nastvad rug from Ikea would make a great kitchen rug -- washable, natural, and simple! You can't go wrong for 20 bucks! Plus, I could probably use a cheap yoga mat underneath for extra cushion :)
-- The Graphic Fairy has lots of free printables. I love this vintage-inspired print.
-- I'm hoping that Josh can build a counter-height rustic wood table--I love the simplicity of this table from Crofthouse.
-- Although I may want a few extra pops of color, I love this color pallet. Natural and warm.

Oh, it's so fun to plan to decorate a space and put together some inspiration. I love your choices. Can't wait to see photos of the house!
