Painted with Love
This year, for Mother's Day, I wanted to give my mom something personal and handmade. So I stalked her pinterest boards for inspiration. Finally, I saw one of Aimee Weaver's signs (I've been a fan of hers for a long time!) and thought that I could make my mom a sign. I used her tutorial (here) to whip up a Mother's Day sign.
It wasn't necessarily difficult, but I made some mistakes along the way (like crooked letters or not centered words...which drive me bonkers!). But! I tried my best to make it with colors that my mom was digging and would possibly work in her new office at a crisis pregnancy center.
Here it is:
A work in progress:
Such powerful words.

Even though it wasn't a work of perfection, it was a work of heart :) Even my 20-something self likes to make my lovely and special mom handmade works of art...
ps. the sign is white/cream even though it looks a little pink in the pictures. Darn white balance!

I loved it!! Thank you for the special gift!
