May's Family of the Month: Meet the Millers
I'd like to introduce you to the Millers. Don't Zach and Michelle look they'd be lots of fun to hang out with? They are in the process of adopting a little one from Uganda. Want to know more about them?
Q: Why did you choose to adopt? Why Uganda?
A: Adoption has always been choice A for me. (Michelle) When I was little I always knew that God had a plan for me, adoption. Its the only thing I have ever wanted and Zach found out he felt the same way after we started dating and I brought up the idea. We both love children and we love differences, so adoption is just perfect for us.We chose UGANDA for a few reasons. We have known Africa for over 5 years. God laid it on our hearts, but said to wait on the country. For a while we were thinking it was going to be Rwanda, but out of know where Uganda came up. 3 times a day for 7 days the word Uganda came to me through emails, facebook, text messages and other things!! It was clear, that is where God wants us.
Q: What are some of your favorite things to do as a family?
A: We love to travel, explore and try new things together. We really like being active and going out and trying something new. And we LOVE to eat! :)
Q: What are excited about doing when the little one comes home?
A: We are so excited to do everything!! Really to start our family traditions by intertwining our heritage and Uganda's, we are going to have some awesome holidays and dinners! And we are so excited to teach our son and watch him learn.
Q: Anything else you'd like to share?
A: We really just feel so blessed that God is giving us this huge gift. We are over the moon about being parents and can not wait till the day when Lil' Mill is in our arms!
