The DL on the LR
I've been busy "pinning" my inspiration on Pintrest (which I adore!) and gathering some ideas for the living room.
I frankly do not have the sewing skills for a slipcover (maybe someday!) or the money to find someone to do it for me. So, I'm working with it! I want to tone down the color with whites, natural browns, mustard yellows, and light blues. Here's what I'm thinking for a color scheme:
There are some bold colors, but I think that they will tone down a bit when used with white and other wood/neutral tones.
We Josh did get this sign hung up last week, so we are one step closer to pulling the living room together:
Starting from the top left:
Burke Decor, Surya, Take the Side Street, West Elm, Designs by Nancy T, Benjamin Moore's "Quiet Moments," Ikea, Sofa color, World Market
Here's the thing. I've got a chair that is this color:
There are some bold colors, but I think that they will tone down a bit when used with white and other wood/neutral tones.
Does anyone have any color ideas that you think would compliment the scheme? I'd love to hear any suggestions!
"love" that sign... i may have to copy you someday ; ) !!!
ReplyDeleteLove your love sign! Throw in lots of turquoise. That is what I just did with my den where I have a red sofa and a red chair that I cannot afford to change, right now. The turquoise brought that room out of 1999. I have a few photos on my blog, but will post on that finished room, soon. (turquoise also goes well with yellow).
ReplyDeleteGood luck!
