A Sign and a Sale
Well. I thought it was about time that I showed another project that I've been working on. Although it feels like I've been knee-high and "over-projectfied" lately, the blog has been a little scarce of them.
I found an ugly sign at the thrift store and bought it up for a dollar. I had a little extra paint from a project (that is still hanging out in the guest room for some last minute finishing touches) so I decided to use the extra paint up. Since our kitchen is quite boring, I thought this color would spruce things up a bit!
First, it was a chalkboard with an uneven ripple border. Then, I tried to fix my horrible attempt at a ripple border and made the border square. Hated it. Finally, I scratched the whole border and chalkboard idea, slathered it with paint, and painted the word "cocina" on it. I love it! There was just the right amount of space for it too :)
