Fall Favorites
Although it's still in the 90's and sweltering in Texas, I've decided to simply make autumn appear in my house despite the weather. Especially since I'm a Minnesota gal, the fact that the leaves are simply crisping off the trees instead of changing colors is a little ridiculous! So, I am on a mission to introduce fall into our home by enjoying all my fall favorites. For post #1 of my fall favorites...
You guessed it! Apple Pie!
I'm not sure what says "fall" more than bubbling apple pie baking in the oven. While doing my little photo shoot, Mac decided that he wanted a bit of fall for himself and snatched an apple from my display! The rascal! He ate everything but the seeds (which I cut out once I googled "can dogs eat apples?" and learned that eating the seeds should be avoided!).
While baking this apple pie, I was working at chipping away at my project list and finished this little one up. It all started with a soap dish, a dingy pedestal (which the pictures hide!), and a random can of spray paint that I had laying around.
To this:
It makes a lovely little jewelry dish!
Well, I'm off to keep working on some more projects and bake #2 of fall favorites!
What do you make with these ingredients: Ooops, I forgot to include the mounds of butter!
