For the Love of the Bean
I picked up twig wreath at a thrift store for .75 and went on a mission to make a lovely little wreath. I was inspired by a wreath I saw at Tatortots and Jello and set out to make my own version.
Here's what I started with-- wreath, hot glue gun, scissors, extra fabric, a pen, and objects to use to trace a circle. And of course, coffee!
I first cut all the circles in different sizes and made little circle flowers with a coffee bean as the center
I then used the hot glue gun to attach them to the wreath and here's the finished project:
Well, the wreath didn't turn out how I had anticipated. If I wasn't so opposed to cutting circles, I may have been more diligent and made the wreath fuller. But, I wasn't. So, I pulled off all the flowers and started over. Here began project numero dos:
A coffee filter wreath!
This project was simple. I put two coffee filters together, twisted them into a flower shape, and then glued them to the wreath.
After sticking the coffee filters all around the wreath, it still looked a little drab. So, I stuck some of my little circles in random places and it seemed to do the trick. Here's the final result:
Although I am satisfied with the final product, my mind is now scheming for new and interesting ideas for wreaths...
Cute wreath! I've been meaning to try one of these myself.
